Hoi An – buying clothes! Part 2
So I ended up buying the coat. And he knocked $5 off, which was nice. He told me that the next day, an Englishman walked in when he saw the coat in the window and ordered two! I can do without the thick stitches, it fits perfectly (even my long arms!) and is dang cute. Price: $40

My party dress finally worked out. After a lot of stress, sweat (not mine), and tears (maybe mine) it is a beautiful piece. I chose white buttons for the front, and shortening the length did wonders. Price: $50
don't mind the wrinkles! My suit is nice. It’s very typical and conservative, but hey it fits and it’s cheap. Price: $40 for suit jacket, skirt, and slacks.
I am wearing the satin blouse underneath.
My two dresses turned out fantastic. I love them. They are comfortable and cute. Price: $13 each
The blouse turned out nice as well. I like the sleeves. Price: $10 for blouse and matching scarf.

This is how the blouse will look with the scarf tied. This is also the coat I imitated.
Dave’s suit turned out great even though he had a lot of problems with the sleeves. Price: $60 for 3-piece. White dress shirts were $10 each.

Dave also got 2 dress shirts at $10 each.
When they redid the shorts, Dave was able to pick out a different, lighter material and when he tried them on, he fell in love so he ordered a couple more pairs. And then had them embroider his initials in them. Price: $10 each.

Dave’s dress shirts from the other tailor turned out great and the woman hand-embroidered them for free on her porch. Price $8 each.

So, we had a good time. I only wish I could’ve had more time to prepare… and more room!
